New to yogaYoga is for everyone, but stepping into a class can be a daunting experience when you're a beginner.
A private lesson will make you familiar with the foundations of Ashtanga Vinyasa, covering sun salutations, anatomy basics in common poses you'll encounter such as Triangle, Warrior I and II, Chaturanga Dandasana, so you know your Up Dog from your Down Dog before you become a part of our class community. You can also book a beginners' 4 week course for a solid introduction to the foundations of yoga, which will provide you with the knowledge to start a home practice. |
Tailored to youMaybe you have specific goals, like strengthening your Chaturanga, building towards head stand, or finding a sequence to compliment your weight-training or running routine.
Or maybe you'd like a session that incorporates pranayama (breath control) and meditation techniques to focus before an important event or switch off at the end of the day. With a background that includes a Masters in Psychology, and the trials and tribulations of marathon running, Lara can work with you to devise a session to fit for your body and mind. These can be a one-off 'workshop' style lesson, or become a regular weekly lesson to complement your routine. |
Finding timeFinding an instructor you gel with, at a studio that's convenient and a time that works for your schedule can be an impossible task (we know, we've tried).
When you feel comfortable with a teacher, and they get to know your body and all it's quirks, progress can happen in leaps and bounds. If you enjoy working with Lara you can book a regular twice-weekly, weekly or fortnightly class at a time that suits you, tailored to your goals and body. A friend can join in lessons at no extra cost. |
