Yoga at Work
There are easier ways to fit yoga into your life. Do you work for the NHS or a Local Authority School and would like to have yoga in your workplace?
Thank youYoga isn't just stretching and making some shapes. NHS staff and teachers are practising yoga every day - selfless service, doing no harm...
We're thankful for the job you do and value your contribution to the community. In physically and mentally demanding roles, yoga can help ease strains, build strength, and bring the mind out of fight or flight mode on demanding days. We give a 50% discount to you already in our public classes, but can also provide yoga in your workplace at the same price. That's £5 per person for an hour of yoga. |
How it worksYou provide a room to lay yoga mats. Staff can bring their own mats, or if you let us know we can order these for you ready for your first session. We'll bring the rest, including incense, essential oils and music (if you have the appropriate license, we can help with this).
Your hour session will include moves to strengthen and stretch the body actively, followed by a restorative and yin-based series of poses to relax body and mind. Pranayama (breath control) and meditation techniques will help you regulate the nervous system and refocus the mind. |
What next?Fill in the contact sheet below, telling us your workplace, availability and whether you'd like mats to be supplied. The minimum number of yogis taking part is 6/or a minimum payment of £30 for the class.
Lara will contact you to discuss your needs further, and then create a lesson plan for your team. If you're new to yoga we can arrange a four-week beginners' course for your team to provide a solid introduction to the foundations of yoga. |
